(a) All traffic control signs, signals, and devices erected under this chapter shall conform to the Indiana Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways as approved by the Indiana Department of Transportation. All signs and signals shall, as far as practicable, be uniform as to type and location throughout the Town.

(b) No provision of this chapter for which signs are required shall be enforced against an alleged violator if at the time of the alleged violation an official sign is not in proper position. Whenever a particular section does not state that signs are required, the section shall be effective even though no signs are erected or in place.

(c) The location of all existing traffic control signs, signals, devices, and markings in place on the adoption date of this chapter that conform to the Indiana Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways as approved by the Indiana Department of Transportation are hereby ratified and confirmed.
