(a) All citizens should be treated with respect and courtesy; however, no employee is required to take verbal abuse of any kind from an upset or angry citizen.

(b) Employees shall not engage in arguments, debates, or lengthy discussions with private citizens regarding the Town's policies, procedures, or services.

(c) Any employee who receives a complaint from a private citizen should immediately refer that individual to his/her supervisor.

(d) Any employee who violates this policy will be subject to discipline.
