(a) The receipt by Town employees of gratuities and gifts from firms, organizations, their employees, agents, or other individuals who may or do conduct business with the Town is not permitted. An exception to this policy would include advertising material with nominal value and edible items for employee group enjoyment. Should an employee be offered a gratuity or gift not permitted herein, or have a question as to the appropriateness or a gratuity or gift; said employee should graciously refuse the same.

(b) The value of a gift cannot exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per year, per employee.

(c) The business of the Town should always be conducted in such a manner that the general public will have confidence it will be conducive to the public good.
