Sec. 2-24. Town Council—Membership; term of office; appointment.

(a) The Town Council, effective January 1, 2001, shall be increased from three members to five (5) members and the two (2) new members shall be appointed by the Town Council at a regular or special meeting called for said purpose.

(b) That the term of office of the two (2) newly appointed members shall be when this section increasing the number of members takes effect, or when the members are appointed pursuant to IC 3-13-9-4 as referenced herein; that said term continues until noon January 1 following the next municipal election which is scheduled in November of 2002.

(c) That the two (2) new members of the Town Council shall be appointed at large pursuant to I.C. 36-5-2-5.
