A person desiring approval of a plat shall first meet with Town representatives of the Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department and Building and Planning Departments at a preapplication conference to discuss the general proposal. A drawing of the proposed subdivision, drawn on a topographic survey map, should be submitted for that preapplication conference. The subdivider shall also submit a location map showing the relationship of the proposed subdivision to traffic arteries, existing community facilities and adjacent properties.

If, after the preapplication conference, the subdivider desires to proceed with an application for subdivision approvals, the subdivider shall then appear before the Plan Commission at a study session to discuss the proposal before filing an application for primary (preliminary) plat approval. No fee or formal application is required for this meeting. The subdivider must be prepared to discuss the details of his/her proposed subdivision, including, but not limited to, such items as follows on the drawing:

(1) A scale of not less than one (1) inch equals one hundred (100) feet.

(2) Date, north point and scale.

(3) The dimensions of all lot and property lines showing the relationship of the subject property to abutting properties within three hundred (300) feet of property lines.

(4) The location and right-of-way widths of all abutting streets, and utility and drainage easements.

(5) The names and addresses of the architect, planner, designer, engineer, or person responsible for the preparation of the site plan.
