Except as otherwise set forth in this chapter, any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and not more than twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500.00). If a violation continues, each day's violation shall be deemed a separate violation. If any person is found guilty by a court of violating section 3-8, his permit to own, keep, harbor or have custody of animals shall be deemed automatically revoked and no new permit may be issued.
