(a) Code Adopted. All electrical wiring in the Town shall be installed in accordance with the Indiana Electrical Code found in title 675 of the Indiana Administrative Code, and article 17 thereof which is hereby incorporated by reference in this section and shall include later amendments to the article as the same are published in the Indiana Register or the Indiana Administrative Code with effective dates as fixed therein. All electrical wiring shall likewise be installed in accordance with the following articles of title 675 of the Indiana Administrative Code and are hereby incorporated in this section and shall include later amendments to those articles as the same are published in the Indiana Register or the Indiana Administrative Code with effective dates as fixed therein: article 13, Building Codes; article 14, One- and Two-Family Dwelling Codes; article 16, Plumbing Code; article 17, Electrical Codes; article 18, Mechanical Codes; article 19, Energy Conservation Codes; and article 20, Swimming Pool Codes.

(b) Approval of Alternate Wiring Methods. Any type of wiring methods not covered herein must have the approval of the electrical inspector of the Town.

(c) Wiring Not to Be Concealed Prior to Inspection. No electrical wiring of any nature shall be concealed or enclosed before it has been inspected and approved by the electrical inspector.

(d) When Current May Be Turned On. No electrical current shall be turned on in any building or addition until all fees are paid and a certificate issued by the inspector, showing that the work has been completed according to the provisions of this article.

(e) Early Service Permits. No early service permits will be issued on any NM and NMC installations.

(f) Temporary Power. On NM and NMC installations, temporary power must be supplied so that the electrical inspector can inspect the premises; and only after approved final inspection will the local public service company be allowed to install permanent electrical service.
